HONOR wanted to bring more sophisticated imaging and creative control to its smartphones.
The challenge extended beyond camera hardware. Professional AI colour processing needed to operate within a mobile device’s computing, memory and power constraints, while remaining responsive and easy to use.
Our contribution
Colourlab worked with HONOR to integrate AI image processing, colour matching, balancing and look design directly into the mobile experience.
This required bringing capabilities developed for demanding professional workflows into an efficient system that could run on a phone in real time.
Our proprietary neural networks allowed us to optimise the technology for the specific processing tasks and the constraints of the device.
Cinema expertise across the imaging pipeline
HONOR also partnered with ARRI to bring elements of its image science into mobile imaging.
