A new way to work with images
Colourlab Ai 4 was built to support workflows driven by large language models. Through its MCP server, compatible assistants can access exposed tools, inspect feedback and help refine results.
You provide the intention, review the image and guide what happens next.
What you can do today
With DaVinci Resolve Studio connected, the current workflow supports an automated sequence: fetch the timeline, balance the clips in Colourlab and push the result back to Resolve.
A request such as “Fetch my Resolve timeline, balance the clips and push the result back” describes that supported sequence. Review the result in Resolve; pushing overwrites the grade on the affected clips.
What MCP makes possible
The Model Context Protocol provides a way for AI assistants to interact with tools exposed by an application. Available operations depend on your installed version and connection.
Our direction is comprehensive: to make every Colourlab Ai function accessible through MCP.
Intelligence on your device
The language model coordinates the work. Colourlab’s dedicated local tools perform image analysis and processing, returning focused feedback to inform the next step.
This approach is designed to reduce unnecessary image transfers and token use. Response times depend on the operation, hardware and assistant.
Creative control through conversation
Make a request. Inspect the change. Refine the direction. Language gives you another way to operate the tools while the image remains the basis for your decisions.
Connect and learn
