Research tools. In the hands of colourists.
Sophisticated tools for cinematic appearance have traditionally lived inside film laboratories and major post-production research departments. Filmlab Ai brings that depth of control to a wider professional community through a dedicated plug-in suite.
Available by application, it provides specialist technology for projects where the finest qualities of an image matter.
High-precision film profiling.
Work with supplied film profiles developed using advanced film-analysis tools. Establish a carefully characterised foundation for the appearance of a production.
Grain with character.
Shape image texture with dedicated high-end grain-emulation tools and the control required for professional finishing.
The influence of the lens.
Explore optical character as part of the grade. Lens simulation extends look development beyond colour and tone.
Halation and light.
Refine the character of bright image regions with specialist halation tools, shaping their contribution to the finished appearance.
Spatial filtration and texture.
Work with relationships between detail, texture and the surrounding image. Spatial processing adds another dimension to a complete visual treatment.
A separate, complementary toolkit.
Filmlab Ai can work alongside Colourlab Ai, Look Designer and Astra. Its specialist high-end implementations of grain, halation and lens simulation remain exclusive to this toolkit.
It is not included in the Colourlab Ai subscription.
Inside your finishing environment.
The suite includes iNode, O-Node, Film Print, Film Negative, Lens Lab, Halo Lab and Grain Lab.
Supported hosts are DaVinci Resolve, Baselight and Nuke on macOS, Windows and Linux. Use hardware capable of real-time 4K playback; multiple GPUs are recommended. Performance varies with hardware, host and effects.
Access by application.
Subscription and perpetual licences are available, each with two activations. Licensing is discussed following application.
